Introducing: MASC!
Hello and Welcome!
Tony (Anthony), Sam (Mark Samuel) and Chuck (Charles) Vincent are brothers who grew up on the Oregon coast. They made their debut, after a drive to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where their bass player and friend Mark Looper was living. During a phone call with his sister, he had made the mistake of promising to come play at a local Battle Of The Bands, if she came to pick him up. That night, Tony, Chuck and Mark Looper’s sister Arlene drove from the Oregon coast straight through to Jackson Hole, and surprised Mark.
MASC did not win the Battle Of The Bands their first year, but they did the next, and were able to record several songs at a local recording studio. They began playing at weddings, parties, local clubs, and then became a “house band” for a club in Coquille Oregon and later Reno, Nevada. They found their booking agent, Ed Yancy, in NV and hit the road and did not stop.
On the road, the band played some outdoor events, including a warm up for “The Coasters” at the Coos County Speedway and some larger events such as Peabody’s in Cour de Alene, Idaho and the WOW Hall in Eugene, Oregon. Most of the time the gigs were in bars and clubs throughout the northwest, six or seven days a week.
Many gigs later, the band has “retired.” The band had written and performed dozens of songs on the road, but did not have time to record during those years. After being introduced to Jason Wyatt and his studio, they are now finally able to get some of these songs produced and available for their fans and the public. They hope to release an album in December 2025.
